Who we are
Welcome to the John T Foundation Website,
a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting glioblastoma. We raise funds for research in collaboration with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Dr. David A. Reardon Clinical Director Center for Neuro Oncology. Our upcoming 3rd annual 5K event will be held on May 5, 2024, at A.C. Whelan Elementary School in Revere, MA.
Founded in honor of my late brother, John T. Di Liegro, who battled glioblastoma, we aim to keep his memory alive. John T. was a beloved local business owner, father, and community member. Despite his diagnosis, he remained dedicated to helping others. Since our inception, we've donated $60,000.00 to Dana-Farber. Join us in our mission to find a cure and support those affected by glioblastoma.

This event honors the memory of John T. Diliegro, a beloved member of the Revere community who passed away from Glioblastoma. All proceeds go towards raising awareness and supporting families affected by Glioblastoma, as well as funding critical research efforts. Whether you run, walk, or donate, your support is important in the fight against Glioblastoma. We're also looking for volunteers to help make this year's event even bigger and better. WHO IS JOHN T. DILIEGRO
John T. DiLegro was a local business owner alongside his father at John’s Brake and Alignments in Linden Square in Malden, MA. John T. was a lifelong resident of Revere. He was a loving father of two children and thrived on helping others whenever needed. In February of 2021, John T. was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Brain Cancer and fought a courageous battle. Our goal is to keep John T’s memory alive and support Brain Cancer research.
John T was a fitness enthusiast. His love for running served as an inspiration to those around him, including the founders of the John T Foundation. Recognizing John T's passion for fitness and his commitment to supporting others, especially in the face of his own battle with glioblastoma, the idea of hosting an annual 5K run in his honor emerged. This event not only celebrates his memory but also serves as a powerful way to raise awareness and funds for glioblastoma research.
Through the annual 5K run, participants can come together to honor John T's legacy, promote community engagement, and support those affected by glioblastoma. It's a fitting tribute to his dedication to fitness, his fighting spirit, and his enduring legacy of compassion and perseverance.
